Ralph Ellisons Invisible slice opens with a prologue describing the main suit in time after the begining of the body of the book. In the prologue,Ellison tells of the main characters invisibility. It is non a physicalinvisiblity, but rther he is not recognised, and in that respectfore persieved, by theworld at large. This is coupled with the fact that he is constantly hard tobe someone else, other than himself, creates for his a exonerate loss ofidentity, and he becomes a man with go forth a soul.The story begins with the main character existence forced to partisipate inan archaic and animalistic bash in redact for him to be allowed to givehis speach that w trial determine wheather he will be accepted to the college.He is accepted and goes through 2 of his years at the college uneventfully.He is ejected from the school during his junior year when the regent who ws inhis kick while visiting the school fell ill and is taken to a local bar to getsome alchohol. He is given sep tet letter of what he suposes to be recomendationto give to citizenry in in the altogether York. He moves to Harlem and delivers the letters.He finds out that these letters were not recomenation but sort of advismentsagainst hiring him. The seventh reciever of a letter gives him a mull over in apaint factory. He does not derform well there and evetually causes he inducedismissal by ignoring hes work and getting knoked out by an burst that ishis fault. He joins a black power group called The Brotherhood and is direct outto spread the word of the group. He meets a man named Clfton, his early realfreind, and clifon is shot by a police officer.
